We believe that he married my wife's cousin, cellist Joyce Feldtmann (also SANDS) in Belgium in the 1920s - their daughter Barbara was born there in 1929. Professor Michael Hornyasky of Brock University is Barbara's brother. The family moved to Canada in 1929, and Nicholas died in 1965. Joyce died in 1984 in Victoria BC. The strands of this story move from Australia to England to Belgium to Canada - and to South Africa where Joyce's parents married and she visited in the late 1930s.
