I checked Ancestry.ca and did not find a marriage registration in Ontario between John Luxton/Loxton and Sarah Thornthwaite/Thornwaite. Sarah Luxton should show up in this census if she didn't die until 1917. The 1881 Canada Census shows only the following persons: 1. Sarah LUXTON - 1881 Canadian Census / Ontario Gender: Female Birth: <1821> Ireland (Spouse: George; Lindsay - Victoria South county) 2. Sarah LUXTON - 1881 Canadian Census / Ontario Gender: Female Birth: <1843> England (Spouse: George; Muskoka) 3. Sarah LUXTON - 1881 Canadian Census / Ontario Gender: Female Birth: <1862> England (Spouse: John; Wellington North county - Sarah died 1886) ......... There is no Sarah Luxton with a birthdate of 1839 in the Canada Census of 1901. However there is a Susan Luxton in Elgin Co., with a birthdate of 1827; this person died in 1911.
