    3. Bonnie, if you go to http://www.collectionscanada.ca/archivianet/cef/001042-100.01-e.html you will find an index for soldiers of the first world war. I located this one which you may already have. Names: MCQUARRIE , CHARLES ARTHUR Regimental number: 1051426 Reference: RG 150, Accession 1992-93/166, Box 7190 - 27 DOB 23/05/1892 They show the first few pages of his attestation papers. If you check on the site it will tell you how you can order his full set of papers. I suggest this as when I received the copies for one of my relatives, it had his date of death written across it. He too had been buried by the DVA (Department of Veteran Affairs). This was cheaper than ordering a certificate. When he enlisted Nov 15 1916 he lived in Saskatoon Sask as a painter and his next of kin was James McQuarrie, brother in South Saskatoon. I do not know if this helps any.
