I'm in England so Hello to those across the pond! I've recently discovered that a relative went to live in Toronto with her husband and 2 sons. In 1915, her husband re-enlisted in the CEF after 21 years in the 19th Hussars, followed in 1916 and 1918 by the 2 sons. They all came home safely, and the sons married in 1919 and 1922. The family name is BIGGS, Dad was Sidney who died in 1949 in Leaside, Toronto age 79. This is from his army record - the Pensions people are very efficient! What happened to his wife Jane Harriet, nee Clapham? She was my Grandmother's little sister, and born in Bangalore in 1870. Their sons were Matthew Harrison and Charles Oswald, born in 1896 and 1898 in India. Matthew married Gwendoline Rose SMITH in 1919, and Charles married Bertha Evelyn HOWE in 1922, both in Toronto. Charles and his wife went to Rhode Island on a business trip in July 1940: they were then living at 144, Hopedale Avenue, Toronto. I would be so pleased to make contact with anyone with links to this family.
