Trying to learn if Maria Fields is a location or a person's name. This would have been when the area was called Canada West. Anyone have an idea? I just don't know. Joyce Stevens Michigan

I can't of any place called "Maria Fields" in Southern Ontario (aka Canada West or Upper Canada). It's most likely a name but odd place names did exist and some have been long forgotton. Nelson

According to Ontario Locator ( http://www.geneofun.on.ca/db.php ) there are no places in Ontario with the word "Fields" in their name.
