Hello Dee, Here's a bit more information. There is a Hill family in Welland, Welland County Ontario in the 1861 census, ED one, page 2. that fits the bill for Louisa' s family. David Hill b England, abt 1801 Mary Hill b Canada East abt 1814 8 children Peter 27, Edward 20, Sophia 17, Mary 15, Adelia 12, Louisa 10, Caroline 8, and James 3 The family is RC.All children born Canada East. Peter and Edward show up in ST clair and Bay counties, Michigan. It looks likely Adelia is the wife of Alexander Woods and mother of Matilda Woods already shown with David and Mary Wood in MI although I didn't see a marriage record in MI. >From the death record in MI of Edward and Peter it looks like the mother is Mary Benoit or Benware. I don't see a marriage of David amd Mary in the Drouin records in Quebec.
