Hello Bonnie, It isn't clear what records you've actually looked at. Did you find what type of grant it was? Have you looked at the Ontario Land Records Index (sometimes called the CLRI) ? The best online guide I've seen for land records is the one on the Ontario Archives site. See http://www.archives.gov.on.ca/english/guides/pdf/rg_215_grant_to_patent.pdf If this doesn't help, there is a list of professional researchers also on the OA site. See: http://www.archives.gov.on.ca/english/family-history/csg_111_genealogical-resear chers.aspx Also http://www.apgen.org/index.html Joanna > > Message: 8 > Date: Fri, 23 Apr 2010 15:50:16 EDT > From: [email protected] > Subject: [ONTARIO] finding crown land grants > To: [email protected] > Message-ID: <[email protected]> > Content-Type: text/plain; charset="US-ASCII" > > It has been a while since I posted before and we have let the frustration > subside before asking again.
