Hello Dee, The County Marriage Register for Victoria County does shows that there were 2 Fountain couples in Fenelon, Victoria county that had children of marriageable age in the 1858- 1869 timeframe. One was John and Delilah and the other was Joseph and Elizabeth. You might want to track these children and see what information turns up. The microfilm catalogue for the census doesn't say any film was missing for Fenelon, so I suggest you look at the microfilm for 1861 and see if you can get a better copy of that page than Ancestry has, and get the ages of the family in Fenelon in 1861. The first 2 names are John and Delila but it is not clear who else is in the family/families? and their ages. There appear to be several Fountain families on that page from row 1 to at least row 33 maybe more since it shows at least 4 log homes. I don't see these families anywhere in the 1851 census. The agricultural census for 1861 on Ancestry shows Joseph at Concession 5 lot 5 of Fenelon Twp. So there may be land records you could access. The children of Joseph and Elizabeth in the marriage register were the following: Fountain John , 21, Fenelon, Mariposa, s/o Joseph and Elizabeth, married 13 Feb 1860 to Hannah Batchford, 25, Fenelon, Canada daughter of James and Jane Fountain, John, 26, Fenelon, Whitby, s/o Joseph and Elizabeth, married Sept 27 1866 to El;iza Brown, 18, Fenelon, Cartwright, d/o Abraham and Ann Fountain Joseph, 22, Fenelon, Georgina, s/o Joseph and Elizabeth, married 1 Jan 1867 to Annie Maria Godfrey, 19, Fenelon, Mariposa, d/o of James and Jane Marshall Bice, Samuel, 26, Fenelon, Brock, s/o Hamilton & Esther, marriewd 28 Feb 1860 Sarah Fountain, 19, Fenelon, Brock, d/o/ Joseph & Elizabeth So it looks like this family moved a lot from Mariposa Twp abt 1839 to Brock abt 1841 and in Georgina by 1845 and Lindsay (Ops twp) abt 1852 for Jacob. Looking at the family trees on Worldconnect, I see trees for John and Joseph Fountain. There is a strong connection to the Godfrey family. Deliah and Elizabeth were both Godfreys.
