Thanks Cheryle. I've used that census many times and yes, Dehart, Vancise and Herrick are all included. Incidentally, it is reproduced in full in the appendix of "Markham 1793-1900", published in 1979 by the Markham District Historical Society. There are actually quite a few families listed that didn't remain in the township - ie: Prentice, Busch, Dehart. Steve, you should read up on the Berczy Settlers, maybe you have? I too have family from that era. Berczy took a Census The page I have is for my family , Wunsch(Wonch) so I don't have the full Census of 1803 but it sounds like the same time frame and they maybe possible listed on it. My copy, page of the 1803 C does list your Frederick Henrick age 47 . Wife is listed as Mary Louisa 40 , son Christian and daughters Polly and Louisa ages cut off. Hope this helps you Cheryle -------------------------------------------------- From: "Steve Marshall" <[email protected]> Sent: Saturday, May 15, 2010 8:36 AM To: <[email protected]> Subject: [ONTARIO] Joseph Van Sise - Markham to Elgin Co. > Is anyone researching the family of Joseph VAN SICE/SISE??
