Hello Heather and all Thanks for the reply Heather but this is the wrong Mary Tait. My Mary Tait was born in Scotland in 1825. She lived Con 1 Lot 7 Monck. She is not on the 1891 census. That is why I am guessing c1890, as she was there in 1881 and for some time after, as my grandmother had noted she had been there in early 1890 when they left for Vancouver. Interestingly, her stepson Joseph is on the same death entry as the Mary Tate that you found. He is listed as Joseph Tate. This has led to some confusion within the family. I am hoping to rectify the problem.
