This is a follow-up to my first posting re lookup for possible birth announcement of 1936 for a Sandra (Alexandra) Duncan in Stratford. The purpose being to find parents names and any siblings or other family. Sandra was a friend of ours, a very private person who divulged little to no info re her estranged family in Stratford. She died alone in her apartment in B.C. at age 75 and was found a week later. My daughter, as emergency contact person, has been having quite a challenge. Apartment had to be paid for another month, fumigators had to be paid for, movers and trash collectors, boxes of paperwork had to be kept to go through to look for any and all info; contacts with Public Trustee, Coroner, RCMP etc. As that wasn't enough, the apartment was broken into (while deceased was there) and a cell phone that my daughter had given Sandra was taken among other things. Two RCMP officers are involved who don't seem to share details. It has been a nightmare! Bottom line: Please, dear listers, make sure somebody knows the whereabouts of your Will and if you live alone that somebody checks on you frequently. Put a note on your fridge door for emergency contact person. Cheers!
