Oh yeah. I've been scrolling through for WEEKS. But they _are_ there. Ancestry Library Edition has most of the lists - but their indexing is bad. wicked bad. All I knew when I started was the year. Nothing else. Found one (and only one) that Ancestry indexed correctly by name. [out of 10, who came @ different times on different ships] sigh. I'm still missing 2 - but they are probably there. So I am working my way through. Take a guess - year, or ship or port. If they give a year of immigration on a later census, BONUS. Start there. If someone ever told a story (my grandma said that Liverpool was a dirty city [we were actually talking about the Beatles <vbeg>] start there. Be prepared to expand out. And sideways. Did they work a deal with the shipping line for the whole tribe to come over at different times?? [this is my latest scenario]. Package Deal! And there they are. Look at their homestead or land apps. Or the dates they supply on a census. You have a window there. Or the agricultural records. When did they show up? OK, trim it bsck. Work it in every direction. OTOH, this site is FANTASTIC. There are lots of ways to get there. <vbeg> Records earlier than 1850 are a real problem. I don't have a lot of encouragement on them. sigh.
