    3. Doreen, Has anyone put a classified ad in the Stratford papers asking any relatives to come forward? You might get info from a "knowledgeable person" AKA the local gossip, even if the family won't contact you. Does your daughter now have the right to get a copy of her friend's birth certificate? which would eliminate the need for a birth announcement . . . So sad that your friend felt she had to die alone.
