    3. In some Ontario cemeteries, infants have been buried in baby plots as set aside by the Anglican Church. A great aunt of mine died within a few days of birth and was buried at Victoria Lawn Cemetery, St. Catharines about 1907. There is no burial marker. Possibly other denominations did the same for their parishioners. At least this is another idea for your search, -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Ellen Murray Sent: Wednesday, June 09, 2010 8:56 PM To: [email protected] Subject: [ONTARIO] obit lookup - Maynooth Is there a kind soul that is able to do an obit lookup for me in Maynooth Paper? Am trying to find place of burial for an infant, Dorothy Margaret HOARE, aged 5 days, died Jan 6, 1918 d/o William HOARE & Edith CARSON. All I know is born Wicklow Twp, buried McClure Twp but am thinking there may be no stone. 3. Hi: The death reg just says McClure Twp., Maynooth, no actual cemetery name. She died Jan 16, 1918. Perhaps she was buried on the family farm? There likely wouldn't have been an obit as we know it these days. If anything, just a one liner, Died, Infant dau of Wm Hoare, Jan 16. Was there a newspaper in Maynooth? What was the larger community near it where there might have been a newspaper? The Nat'l Archives Newspapers on Microform, click Ontario: http://www.collectionscanada.gc.ca/8/18/r18-208-e.html Search Hoare here: http://www.angelfire.com/wa3/greenwoodontario/HastingsCountyCemeteries.html Scroll down to McClure twp here for a few cemeteries: http://www.gravemarkers.ca/ontario/centont/hastings/index.htm Marg in Sunny Alberta
