I was searching for another RICHARD GILBERT in the 1930 census of California and came upon the Richard and Ann MORRIS as mentioned. In trying to find out where in Ontario they originated came to this HANNAH and WILLIAM GILBERT. Have been searching for William born 1823 in North Brentor, Lamerton, Devonshire for many years as the last I could find was 1841 Devon census. Still think this may be the one as names of children sound likely, i. e. AGNES and RICHARD. It has been said there was always a RICHARD in the families and his younger sister was AGNES. The help given on this List is wonderful and so fast. I am always thinking I could find something for an asker on Ancestry, but you are all too quick for my aged mind.
