    3. Scott, Death records for this time frame have not been microfilmed. You can however, obtain the death registration through the Office of the Registrar General. Anyone can obtain a death registration -- there is a fee for this. You can print off the application form or apply on-line. Note: Request the "Long Form" as this contains the most pertinent information. https://www.orgforms.gov.on.ca/eForms/start.do?lang=en Hope this helps, Gail Faibish, UE ----- Original Message ----- From: "Scott Shipman" <shipwreck@surenet.net> To: <Ontario-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Wednesday, August 08, 2007 10:01 PM Subject: [ONTARIO] Death Cert needed Florence King 1937 > Hi > > > > I am wondering if someone with access to LDS or Ancestry might be able to > find me the death of > > Florence Agnes Priscilla (Dangerfield) King born 1850 in England died > March > 6th 1937 in Ontario...I have tried just about everything possible and > think > that I am going blue in the face...I tried name variances first and > last... > > > > I have a small note of the death of this lady Mrs. Chas G. 1. [ONTARIO] Lothrop family in Northumberland Co., Ontario
    2. Hi. I have been researching my Phoebe Ann Lothrop, married to Samuel Merrill before about 1830. I know that she was born about 19 Nov 1807 in NY (birth place from 1880 census, which also says her father was born in England, and her mother in Pennsylvania). She died in about 1896, probably in Minnesota. Most of the research that I've done on the Lothrops in that area (Cramahe, Percy Twp., etc.) keeps coming back to the Draper/Lothrop/Palmer/Brown family lines. I'm doubting that she's related to them if her father truly came from England and her mom from Pennsylvania. Is there someone on this list who might know this family and be willing to share? I'd be happy to reciprocate. Nancy Merrill Sayed ************************************** Get a sneak peek of the all-new AOL at http://discover.aol.com/memed/aolcom30tour

    3. Hi Scott - sorry to disappoint you but the death records for that date are not yet available through Ancestry .... at least I don't think they are. However they might have been released by Ontario to the LDS and are on microfilm. You would have to go to an LDS Family History Centre to view such films as it will be some time before Ancestry has them online. However I did find a few things which I've posted after these census lists. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 1881 Canada Census - Household: KING Name Marital Status Gender Ethnic Origin Age Birthplace Occupation Religion Charles Gerrard KING M Male English 35 England Farmer Church of England Priscilla Florence Agnes KING Female English 30 England M Church of England Charles Walmisloy Dangerfield KING Male English 8 O <Ontario> Church of England Gerrard Aubrey KING Male English 6 O <Ontario> Church of England Brabazon Edwin KING Male English 4 O <Ontario> Church of England Montague Anthony Durnford KING Male English 3 O <Ontario> Church of England Barbara Agnes KING Female English 1 O <Ontario> Church of England Source Information: Census Place Brunel & Stephenson, Muskoka, Ontario Family History Library Film 1375879 NA Film Number C-13243 District 131 Sub-district J Page Number 39 Household Number 166 .... I've been unable to find anything on the Ontario Vital Statistics website. The information I have, is that Charles was born about 1882, Ryde, IOW, England, and married Beatrice Damp ( also from the Isle of Wight) at Oakville, Ontario, April 1913. Beatrice remarried on the Isle of Wight 1917. Further, unverified information, is that Charles and two brothers, arrived in Canada about 1912, and Charles drowned a couple of years later, also the brothers went on the open a chain of stores. Can anyone help verify this information, and if there were any children from his marriage with Beatrice Thanks in advance Alf Damp *********** Search Ontario Genealogy & Resources at http://olivetreegenealogy.com/can/ont/ ------------------------------- To unsubscribe from the list, please send an email to ONTARIO-request@rootsweb.com with the word 'unsubscribe' without the quotes in the subject and the body of the message

    3. Hi Alf: Ontario birth regs are only available to the public up to and including 1910 thru your local LDS family history centre. Ancestry has them online up to and including 1907. Births occuring after 1910 are unavailable to the public except in certain circumstances due to Privacy Regulations. You can fnd out abt that here: http://www.archives.gov.on.ca/english/interloan/vsmain.htm Charles death: Ontario, Canada Deaths, 1869-1932 County of Halton, Division of Oakville Name: Charles James Grenham Death Date: 19 Jul 1914 Death Location: Oakville, Halton Age: 31 years, 3 months, 7 days Gender: Male Estimated birth year: abt 1883 Birth Location: Ryde,Eng Occupation: Shipping clerk Marital: Married Father: George Henry Grinham Mother: Annie Doro/Dore?? Grinham, 3 Grosvenor Street(?), Toronto Reg. #014952 From the Toronto Star: July 20, 1914 There is a long article abt the drowning. I am sending the article to you separately as the List does not accept attachments. You need Adobe Acrobat to view and read it. Let me know if you can't open it or view it and I will type it out for you next week when I am home again. If you go here: http://www.halinet.on.ca/localhistory/forms.htm Type in only the word Grinham, check off the box to search all databases, click search, you will get 4 results for that surname spelling. If you want copies of any of the newspaper clippings, Geoff Cannon at the Halton Hills Public Library will get them for you for a small fee: cannong@hhpl.on.ca He may also be able to give you the info from the Cemetery entry or ask the Ontario List if anyone can supply you with that info.
