    3. I just wanted to say Thank you from the bottom of my heart to each and everyone on this list. Because of all the email's I was able to get my great grandfathers military record. His first marriage listing. Jennette his first wife's death certificate which confirmed that she was actually buried with a baby girl. His parents names. Which I can now go to the France records and hopefully find more information. I knew that his dad was born in France immigrated to Cape Breton worked / was hurt in the mines and went back to France to die... My great grandfather was my biggest headache in my family tree. Because of everyones help. I can finally trace further back on my tree.. I am so so so excited with the information that was passed to me If anyone needs help with Clarkson/ Browns / Livingston/ Pecks/ Boutilier from Cape Breton I do have quite a bit and am willing to share From the bottom of my heart. 3. Caveat re Ontario, Canada Marriages, 1801-1930 on Ancestry! There is a serious problem with the updated marriage record database put online by Ancestry recently. In every single record, the names of the mothers of the bride AND groom are identical. Please read about what else was found and how researchers can work around this error (for most but not all the records) until Ancestry fixes this problem. http://bit.ly/CanMar18 Or go to the Olive Tree Genealogy blog at http://olivetreegenealogy.blogspot.com/ and look for the post published March 18, 2010 Please pass this message on to other researchers. I am trying to contact Ancestry to inform them of the errors but meantime we need to make other researchers aware of this Lorine -- Lorine McGinnis Schulze * Follow me on Twitter http://twitter.com/LorineMS * Olive Tree Genealogy http://olivetreegenealogy.com/ * Naturalization Records http://naturalizationrecords.com/ [email protected] or [email protected]

It will go online probably Thursday this week and will provide a workaround for the problem. Have you spotted the problem yet? Every index result shows the SAME MOTHER for both bride and groom. You must check the image for accurate information on parents. No image? That's what my blog post will walk through, how to deal with no images.... 3. Hello Catt I found the trail of a Hulda Muller b Prussia 1852 through a couple of birth records for children in Toronto in1891 & 1892. She married a Henry Wilson in Ottawa in 1872. However the marriage registration lists her father as Frederick. The 1901 census in Toronto (husband shown as Andrew Wilson) gives Hulda's immigration year as 1870. One of the witnesses for the wedding was Edward Muller. There is one household in Ottawa in 1871 having both Edward and Hulda but the parents are given as Ferdinand and Henrietta Miller. There is also a daughter Emma in the household. The sister Emma's marriage registration in Carleton Co Ont 1874 shows H. Wilson as a witness and gives her birthplace in Prussia. The mother's name is given as Caroline Freiwall. Hulda Wilson died in Toronto in 1930 but parents' names not given other than Miller. These families fit the locations in your story but not the first name of the parents. Maybe there are German naming practices with several first names that would explain. Henrietta Miller is still alive in 1911 and with her daughter Emma in Toronto. Her immigration year is 1870. There is a passenger record for Henrietta, HUlda and Emma in 1870 into New York on ship Shakespeare from Hamburg. It could be the men arrived in North America earlier. The following records should help you find more. 3. Probably fleeing the Prussia-Germany, vs. France War about 1870 I don't know if Philip Muller was a diplomat or soldier or whom he fought for. No trace of Hulda Muller, even though she married then lived and died in Toronto, begat 5 daughters. Maybe died after 1926 or there about. Anyone know what happened to Philip Muller, his wife, and son Philip? Descendants, etc.
