Amy, This is fantastic. I was born David Larry O'Neil in Tullahoma, Tennessee. My dad died from pneumonia when I was 3 days old. My mother remarried a childhood sweetheart when I was 8 and we moved to Texas. When I was 10, my stepfather adopted me. That is the reason for the change from O'Neil to Nix. My stepfather is now dead too and so are his parents. However, my mother knows a fair amount about his family. I also have a half brother that lives in the Dallas, Texas area and one that lives in Germany. I can get information on the Nix clan from them too. I have only been working on my family tree for two or three months. So, I am pretty new at this. I did have a good start on the O'Neil clan since my grandfather had written a very good account of our branch of the O'Neil family that traced all the way back to their entry to the USA from Ireland.
