Hi Gang! (For Informational purposes only) Just thought I would pass this along, with the blessing of the list member who sent it to me. He received this from his first cousin who had been to SC recently. <snip> Charleston is cute as the dickens, history on every corner, several libraries for research. I used the county library when I was there. I wanted SC information and it had a great deal of local information. Because the family was in SC this could be a good choice. However, I would not go in the summer because of the heat and humidity. Other possibilities to consider include Salt Lake City. The Star in the Crown of Genealogy Research Sites. As past-president of the Santa Barbara County Gen. Soc. I know a group can get special air rates and special consideration at the hotel next to the library. It used to be the Howard Johnson. Santa Barbara might also be on the list. Our society just got a 1.1 million dollar library donation. It has been brought up to code and opened in October. We have 5,000 plus volumes, exchanges with around 100 other society quarterlies, a computer, a copier, a good climate and time of year, 500+ members of supportive genealogists and one other O'Neall! Pass it on. :) Carol <end of snip> Jim O'Neall [email protected] "Searching the past; Looking to the future"
