LOL~ Oh Betty, you made me laugh, actually my husband is cooking our turkey right now, since he is working tomorrow (chef's always work on holidays) and the poi will have to wait for another day, we are having "my Mother's Thanksgiving Dinner". I supervise, he follows my directions (only time of year). I like Thanksgiving exactly how my Mom made it, the only change is pineapple yams, yum. We will make a fancy table with crystal and china, and toast with sparkling cider, tell what we are grateful for and dig in~our families' lives on the mainland or on the other islands, so its just us three, but that's fine. And I agree, good news stories are so nice~I would like to hear how others are spending their turkey day too. Tomorrow I will take my son to the beach, and we'll have leftovers and PIE! He can boogie board and I am still working on that family tree crossstitch! Really nothing fancy, just life with the Ching's. How about you?
