Edwin Asbury O'Neal from Florence, Alabama. He was then a Brig. General. His Brigade was involved in several major battles, the most "famous" being Gettysburg. He was a Lawyer. After the War, he was instrumental in reestablishing the Democratic Party in the South. He was the elected Governor of Alabama (2 terms). His son, Elliott O'Neal was also a Lawyer and served as Governor of Alabama. They are part of my O'Neal family line. Cheers, Cliff Fiveash Pensacola, Florida [email protected]
