I found out quite alot from those of you who responded to my Dad's Naval separation questions, thanks so much for your help, I do plan to create a display of momentos and will get the medals and maybe a swabbie cap to put inside, I have his handsome photo from Navy too~my brother has his flag from Dad's funeral in 94 but I want something too! Thinking of doing a shadow box with a minesweeper photo (yms-292 was a motor minesweeper, 29 crew members, wooden hull! ` the apl-27 was a barge like barracks ship these had unoffical hotel names like da Ritz) One thing~what would a coxwain do on a boat with 29 crew?
