Hi all~ Thanks Alan for explaining the spam problem very well, the good thing is he, Sam the Spammer is not subscribed to the list, but wrote simply to the list address. Our list is open which means non-subscribers can post to it whether or not they are subbed, however only subscribers will receive email. Usually the rootsweb filters that are in place will snag these messages before they even reach the list members and then I get a report titled "we blocked some spam from your list" sometimes I get 6 reports like this a day! Anyway I would not give it too much worry, the main thing to remember about such "Fantastic Offers!" is that you should never reply to them, because then they have your email address. And never open an attachment from someone you don't know, because that could contain some nasty little bug. Delete is your friend~ Jill
