    3. Hi, I am writing this to you publicly as you wrote to the list in same fashion. I am not personally willing to use O'Neill exclusively to include all spellings of our common family name and the members who began on their own to use O'Nexxl or a derivative there of did so to include all spellings, relatively. This is a common way to include many variations of a name in gen communities, and is imho, creative. Your comment to the list is noted. You can of course do it however you want, as can everyone else on the list. Everyone gets to use the spelling of O'Neall/O'Neil/Neal/O'Nexxl etc here of their own choosing. Thank you, Jill ---------- : From: Jon & Lori O'Neil <[email protected]> : To: [email protected] : Subject: Re: [ONEALL-L] Up and Running? : Date: Tuesday, September 15, 1998 5:27 PM : : Jill C. wrote: : > : > Yes, our O'Neall list and most if not all of the others are also up again : > on Rootsweb, who lost their server late last week. : > So.........everybody post away all your O'Nexxl messages, questions, trees, : : Is it just me, or is the O'Nexxxxxxx thing getting a little weird? : Maybe because there is no "x" in the Irish language? : : Maybe we can standardize on a generic "O'Neill" where necessary? : : Please ignore me if I'm ranting . . . : : Jon O'Neil (you can see I've been craving a standardized spelling my : entire life) :
