Pat > O'Neill Can't help but jump in here, since I'm a Charles O'Neill also. My gggrandfather Charles O'Neill was born in Ireland (I think Co. Down, but am not sure of that). In 1856 he showed up in Airdrie, Lanarkshire, Scotland. He also was a "drawer" in the Scottish coal mines. In 1857, he, his new bride, Agnes Sweeney, and first born, Hugh, moved to Waterside, Ayrshire, where Charles worked as an Ironstone miner (and coal miner also, I think) for the Dalmellington Iron Works. In 1881, the whole crew (Charles, Agnes, and 7 kids) all moved to Clearfield Co., Pa., where the men worked in the Pennsylvania bituminous coal fields. Unfortunately, I don't think my Charles was related to Tim's or Pat's. Charles O'Neill Virginia Beach, VA
