    1. [ONEALL-L] Lucy O'Neal
    2. I am looking for information on a Lucy Oneal who was b. probably around 1825 and who died sometime around 1842 give or take a few years.. in old Campbell Co./now Fulton Co. GA, My g. grandfather David M. BANISTER lists William BANISTER and Lucy O'neal as his parents when he applies for marriage license in Indiana. William Banister (father of David M. BANISTER) married to Lucy O'Neal in Georgia around 1840 (no record of this marriage has been found but David Monroe Banister named Lucy O'Neal as his mother on marriage application and stated in Tenn. Civil War Vets questionnaire that his mother died when he was 9 months old. (Note that David Banister regularly stated his d.o.b. as June 15, 1847 though pension applications and other records make it appear that his d.o.b. was 1841 and not 1847 which means Lucy Oneal BANISTER died either 1841-42 OR 1847-1848. Some think that Lucy was VERY young when they married.. perhaps abt. 14-15 years old???? If anyone can help me with the O'neals who were in the Campbell County/Carroll/Coweta Counties of GEORGIA I would be most grateful. I am also interested in the Lucy Oneal who was in Chester Dist. SC. along with the McGuires and the Meeks who intermarried into the BANISTER family. 1810 Census Records consist of 1,422 "Head of Houshold" (H/H) for the Chester District, South Carolina. Chester Co. was created in 1785 from the larger Craven & Camden Districts. No other County was created from Chester Co.
