I have seen your post, and am also looking for a John Henry O'Neill, my ggrandfather. He was born in the US, we believe NY and did have family there as he made frequent trips back when older. He shows up married on the 1901 Ontario Census in Elizabethtown (Brockville, Ontario) and which lists the following: Born in 1863 USA, emigrated to Canada in 1863 also (an infant has to come in with somebody!!), he became a naturalized citizen in 1896, occupation "Varnish Rubber" (furniture refinisher?). We know of no other siblings or parents. John O'Neill married Frances Elizabeth Barker (before 1894) and had 2 daughters; Margaret Helen and Anna ?. Anna married (Irwin Lindblom) and moved back to New York State. Margaret married and remained in Canada (my grandmother) I would love to be able to match up with someone!!
