    3. For those of you who are keeping records of my branch of the family, I regret to inform that I lost a dear uncle this week. Donald E. O'Neall "Shorty" was my fathers brother and was married to my mothers sister. He was a special guy and a friend to all. He will be missed by all who knew him. Always had a smile and a joke to cheer the day. I was able to attend the funeral service, some 3 1/2 hours drive but weather stayed decent so my wife, daughter and I traveled south to Clarke County, Iowa. Services were held at the Kale Funeral Home, Osceola, Clarke County, Iowa. My cousin Pennie O'Neall Gonseth was the organist and "Shorty's" Grandchildren were the casket bearers. I was so thankful my wife and I stopped to visit he and my aunt Dorothy on our return from Texas New Years Eve Day. We had a wonderful visit. He had been in the hospital for a little over a week suffering with pneumonia, and it was just too much for him and he slipped quietly away.
