    3. Hello, cousins and other O'Nexlxs -- Just wanted to inform anyone who might be interested that the "O'Neall Quakers and Friends" web pages have been updated. We're very happy now to add to our "scrapbook" the stories of two of the immigrant Hugh O'Neall's non-Quaker sons: -- George Neal, Revolutionary soldier; George tells his own story in his declaration to obtain a pension, made in 1832. -- Henry O'Neill, Tory and founder of New Hope Plantation in Florida; the history of his descendants is recounted in the History of New Hope Plantation. Many thanks to cousins Anne O'Neal and Marsha O'Neill Moore for contributing these wonderful documents. The URL is at the end of this note. Happy reading -- John John O'Neall Genas, France http://homepages.rootsweb.com/~joneall/

    3. I'm slow at replying but have been changing servers among other problems which led to same. My Robert O'NEILL and his wife, Catherine FORBES and five children moved from Buckingham, Quebec, to an area in Dakota County which, in the 1900 census, was enumerated as Egan Town. I gather it was just outside St. Paul. I've been trying for some time to find a living descendant. Their children were: Mary O'Neill, b.Buckingham, c.1840 Catherine O'Neill, b. 3. Hi James. I saw the message you sent to Tim O'Neill, and was wondering if you knew anything about the Phelim/Felix O'Neill you mentioned. My g-g-grandfather was a Felix O'Neill, and I am at a complete standstill on tracing anything about him. I know he was born in Ireland about 1803, came to America about 1830, has a son John in abt 1833 in Montpelier, Vermont. Next find him in Lacolle, Quebec, Canada in 1852, and then living with son John in Cloud County, Kansas in 1880. Not much, is it? Thanks for any help. I know some names, but no dates. The closest I've come is that he was born in June 1863 in MN and was married twice - 1st wife, Margaret Buckley (b Jan 1865 MN, d between 1898-1910) 2nd wife May (Mary?) Doherty. His parents were John O'Neill and Anne Larkin, both of whom were born in Ireland. He had 2 sisters, Annie and Mary Agnes (Mamie). I have documentation of them having lived in St. Paul at least through 1920 from census records. Please let me know if this is the family for which you're searching. Thanks. 3. Hello again, We had a minor breakthrough on "our" Mary O'Neill; we now know the following: Mary O'NEILL, born in NYC about 1845, daughter of Jerry O'NEILL and Mary SHEA. Mary O'NEILL married James SULLIVAN about 1864; she died in NYC in December of 1936. Does any of this match up to anything any of you have? As always, full of hope that I'll "find" our O'Neills, Holly Sullivan

    2. In 1860, Asa O'Neill , 40 yrs old born in Arkansas, is found in Sugar Loaf Township of Sebastian County, Arkansas. His wife Eliza , 27 years old born in Missouri, is likely his second wife. In the household is James and Elizabeth Sorrels who I believe are children of Eliza by a first marriage. Who were the parents of Asa? What was the maiden name of Eliza? When and where did they marry? Asa and Eliza had a daughter Seanna born abt 1859, who married Joe Mack Mooneyham .

    3. there's some simularities but prob. coincidental~I don't know the names of my Thomas Francis O'NEILL parents or siblings names~one of his gr.daughters name was Nancy, she's still alive and lives in St.Louis~He was a tinner by trade and supposdly did the 'gilding' on the courthouse in Baltimore~and I'm in Calif.~I have a hunch his famly lived in St.Louis when he married Alice MONAHAN in 1883~ so the similarities are: the name Francis, one o9f yours was a Francis~the name Nancy, you had one~ ~I live in Calif. where one of your O'NEILLs ended up~sure would be nice if this was all we needed to make a match huh?~ ALICE >*;*<
