Betty, I am looking for my greatgrandfather (Burroughs) in Mississippi records, also Alabama and Tennessee as well as Virginia. I have started writing down any O'Neal records that I run across. When I get a moment, I will check through and see if I show any or your family and will keep a lookout as I go through records. I am doing cemeteries, census, court records, Civil War, land, etc. I'm sorry to be so late sending this to you. Kind of behind. Best regards, Anne O'Neal
Are we allowed to vote this round if we didn't vote last round? My answers would have been yes to all. 1 SC is very nice especially the coast (Charleston - Myrtle Beach) or the West (Clemson/Greenville/Spartansburg) Should be lots of good facilities. 2. Va would be nice and has the advantage of being where family reunion is next summer. (Sorry - its my wife's family not O'Neil ) But any of the others would be just fine. Pat [email protected]
Ginny, Moses may have gone to Bedford Co., Tn., but he eventually ended up in Greene Co., Mo. where he died. Moses had a son named William. Did he have a brother named William also? Glenda

Didn't he wind up in Bedford County, TN along with my ancestor, William O'Neal. Sounds as though he is the grandson of Moses O'Neal whose will was probated in Johnston County, NC in circa 1790s. Moses had son named Isham, I believe. Yours, Ginny Kobler >Is anyone out there researching Moses Oneal? He was born in Georgia in 1804. >His father was Isham Oneal. Thank you. > Glenda

Does anyone know of any O'Neals who might have migrated to Mississippi prior to the Civil War? I am trying to locate brothers and sisters of Jesse and James Albert O'Neal. Believe there might have been a sister named Sallie and possibly one named Carrie. Also, there was a sister named Ella O'Neal who married a man named McNeil. Possibly, there was a brother named John. My grandfather was James Albert O'Neal who was born in 1873 and died in 1949. I have so little info on the O'Neals of Mississippi but I believe they migrated to Smith County, Mississippi - dates unknow and where they came from - also unknown. Would appreciate any info. I am new on the list, hbut would like to suggest a location for the O'Neall reunion. Amelia, in Amelia County, VA would be a lovely place an there is a big Camp Ground there that could accomodate everyone...I have the address somewhere for it. My Neall's came from Ireland and settled there. :) Thanks Kevin-brooke Hudson
I would prefer #1 Virginia or #2 North Carolina as a gathering location. Richard O'Neill San Antonio, TX
Jim, So glad you're better! #1 and 2: Either VA. or Carolina's Either would be great. Brenda in Kansas [email protected]
