Anne, I have a Mary O'Neal (O'Neil) in my family tree, but do not know who she married. Seven brothers immigrated from Ireland in the middle 1700's. Two settled in Virginia, and later moved to Cocke county Tennessee. According to my information, by 1816, both brothers had large families. I do not know the names of the two brothers. However, one of the brothers had children named Henry, Peggy, Nancy Elizabeth (Betsy), Peter, Mary and Lucindy. The other brother had children named Joseph, William, George Washington, Calvin, Harrison, Darius, Nancy, and Maria. Does any of this information match up with yours? I have more data on marriages and children after this first level. Sorry Mary, I thought you were Mary Johnson. My fault. Not paying enough attention. Anne O'Neal
Computers are great when they work, but it sometimes seems to me they don't work all too often. However, I hope you are aware of how much we appreciate all that you have done for us. Your websites have been of great help and inspiration to us all. I have just a faint idea of how much work it all must have been, to say nothing of all the know-how needed to do that work! Thank you for all you have done! I hope your personal challenges become blessings and that your computer problems disappear. The former are infinitely more important than the latter. I would be glad to help with things computer if I were more knew more about them, but . . . If I can help in any other way, please call on me. Thank you again. Pat in Palm Desert
Mary, My e-mail address is <osilovar@ameritech.net> (I have two but am currently using this one most of the time) Ignore the "Michael" on my mail. I thought I had gotten rid of my son's name on this computer but apparently not. If you will send me your material, I will hang on to it in case I run across connections. Anne O'Neal

Micha, The information I have comes mostly from other researchers, but think it is accurate. I show John Spencer O'Neal married twice and also Jesse M. O'Neal had two wives. I will be happy to send you what I have if you could send me your e-mail address, or I can post to the list if that would help out anyone else. Mary - mmcguire@cavemen.net
Ann and Mary, I can't make any connections between my O's and yours but I will keep yours on file in case something pops up. Keep your chins up. Anne O'Neal
To any O'Neals on the list descended from Lewis (b. 4-21-1799), son of George (b. 1755) and Elizabeth Betsy Singleton O'Neal. I wish to apologize for my e-mail yesterday claiming info about the descendants of Mary O'Neal. That was in error. Instead, I now have the complete listing of Lewis's children and their marriages. I am ordering a book issued in June with the listing of the marriage of Lewis's daughter Malvina Todd Neal and her descendants. Below is a listing as it stands today on Jill's site on the tree for George O'Neal, son of Hugh O. Dear List Members, I would like to contact the person who submitted the following material to Jill and which is included on the tree for George b. 1755, (son of Hugh and Annie Cox) and Elizabeth Singleton O'Neal. I have come across a lot of new material about Mary's descendants. Thought you might like to have it. I really have no idea if this is my line since I haven't been able to trace my ggrandfather Nathan/William H. O'Neal. His son Allen was b. 1869 and that's as far back as I go. Will keep your info in case I ever can connect it. Thanks, Ann Mary Johnson wrote: > Dear Anne, > Just read your message about your O'Neal's. I, too, am an O'Neal. Dear Anne, Just read your message about your O'Neal's. I, too, am an O'Neal. My O'Neal was John b. 1744 in VA or Ireland, m. #1 ? Spencer, #2 Fannie Hall, #3 Margaret Mills. John fathered 20 children in VA & KY, with these 3 wives. John & Fannie were the parents of my Thomas (m. Sarah Howard). When Thomas & family left KY they went to IN, then settled here in Vermilion Co., IL in 1821. If this is some of your O'Neal's please let me know so we can exchange info. It's hard to think of problems occurring in the "paradise" of the world; Hawaii. I don't have a web page nor do I know how to do one. Wish I could assist you. I do have several of the sites your connected with in "my favorite places" and would like to help you recreate your missing stuff from my files. (Is that possible?) If I only knew more about this computer technology. As you may recall, approximately a year or so back I too had some major computer problems with a hard drive failure but, thanks to you and others on the ONEALL list I was able to restore most of my information. If you or someone else on the list ask the questions and provide some of the vast expertise & experience available, perhaps I can help. Certainly, I will try my best. I just ordered a ZIP drive Wednesday and it'll be installed next week. (I've had recent troubles too, so I'm going to back everything up on the ZIP drive. Had to get help to restore "lost" files two weeks ago.) Back to the point. If there's anything I can do please let me know. Hope ALL your problems can be resolved soon. Good luck.
