All and any inquiries welcome! Hi Astrid; Found the following in the Durham County Marriage Registers 1858-1869: STACEY, John, 25 of Cavan, born England, s/o William and Mary, married Oct 2 1859 to MARKS, Grace, 24 of Bowmanville, born England, d/o Robert and Elizabeth (Veal) The Durham County Newspaper Index, shows: STACEY, John of Courtice, died Sep 27 1890, aged 51 years, of consumption. Ebenezer Bible Christian Chapel cemetery, Darlington Twp: 90 - Side 1 - In memory of/ Margaret/ wife of/ Richard GRILLS/ died/ April 3 1906/ aged 81 years/ At rest/ Side 2 - In memory of/ Richard GRILLS/ died/ Nov 10 1893/ aged 75 years/ Side 3 - In memory of/ Jane STACEY/ died/ Nov 25 1893/ aged 75 years/ I am quite sure that the GRILLS family came from Bradworthy, Devon, as they are connected to my husband. I have just looked in my Bradworthy Parish Registers and find: Richard GRILLS, s/o Richard and Grace GRILLS, bapt., Feb 14, 1819. Not sure if this will help you but doesn't hurt to have this info!
