While trying to find more information about my husband's grandmother, an Elizabeth Strong evidently born in Bowmanville April 21, 1868, a person researching the same families as I am came across in the 1881 Cartwright Twp. census records, an Elizabeth Strong (correct age) living with a James Strong, age 60, who could be her grandfather, but what is puzzling is that in the right -hand column of the page , in the place where the census taker could list other details of the property, etc, was the date April 13, Jas. H. Devitt Esq. Has anybody any idea what this might refer to? It's a real puzzle. Leah Joys Medicine Hat, AB
