To all:- It is very possible all researchers know of the coast-to-coast struggle going on to obtain the release of our Canadian historical records, the post-1901 census records. Senator Lorna Milne (Peel) presented the Second Reading Thursday of her Bill S-15 to amend various sections of the National Archives, Statistics Canada Acts. If the response and debate is positive, we are hopeful census records after 1901 will be available to us. Should any lister desire information of any type, the wording of the S-15 Bill from Hansard, or other information related to this matter, please contact one of us -- we will send the information privately, as various items of information are lengthy. Just recently, one large genealogical group in Quebec presented a petition from 31 groups with 10, 871 names. We will be happy to supply any information, Muriel M.
