I have just bought the micro film index of the Canadian Statesman. It covers these following newspapers. The above, Orono News, Orono Weekly Times, West Durham News, Bowmanville Sun Bowmanville Star, Bowmanville Observer, The Merchant, Bowmanville News. All entries are in alphabetical order arranged by surname. I am not sure the years it covers as I have only looked for my surnames but I have found 1870's- 1918. I will do look ups on anyone that LIVED in these areas only , and please include first and last names. Any full surname searches of more than 10 individuals will need to mailed to you , please be prepared to pay 0.25 cents per copy plus postage. Please be patient, I need to be at the library to read these so it may take time to get all of them done. To Purchase your own copies $10.00, you must have access to a Microfilm reader!!!!
