Hi Frank & List, Here from the Abstract Index Books 1800-1859, Registrar of Deeds, Clarke Twp. V. 1-2. are the land transaction details for the period of time when the Bigham family had interest in the property. I'm not an authority on interpreting such documents, so I give it to you as I transcribed it from the film. I'm posting this to the list in case someone can assist in any interpretation or on the off-chance one of the other individuals' names interests another lister. Also, anyone who might want to know the contents of the microfilm...what you see below is basically what you get. For further reference, the LDS film # is 197648. >From the book, Genealogy in Ontario (auth. Brenda Merriman), the index books are described as being created in 1865 retroactively to the date of patent. Often, in the early years of registration, there are gaps in the records since registration was not required until 1851.
