However, I do see a James Bigham in the Durham County Newspaper Index, as follows: BIGHAM, James - of Tyrone, husband of Janet Jardine, died Sep 28, 1910, aged 78 years. Any good? I took a look in "Out of the Mists" by Helen Schmid and found the following on page 145: Under the heading "Presbyterians" "To make it more accessible for those presbyterians in the more northern part of the township; occasional services were held in James Bigham's barn, Lot 24, Conc., 4. John Waddell, as well as a dozen other children, was baptised in this barn by Rev. Cassie on Sep 18, 1836." There is another piece regarding the Bigham family on page 79: Dr. John Bigham studied at Queen's University in Kingston, and after a short stay in Bluevale, Huron County, came to Orono in the 1860s and was made a coroner. It is interesting to read in a letter dated 1862, written to John Waddell at Bluevale from his uncle in Orono - "George Bigham was here last night and left a box for his brother, the doctor - about 25 lbs, containing bones, I think he said - shall I send it up right away or wait......."
