Hi Stuart... I don't see an immediate connection to the WEBSTERs I'm tracing, but perhaps Charles WEBSTER is a cousin somewhere along the way. I am tracing the ancestors (and descendants) of Thomas and Elizabeth WEBSTER from County Wexford, Ireland about 1817. I'm pretty sure that there were Websters left behind and some may have come over at a later date. There were 5-6 children as far as I can see. Richard born abt 1801 (there is some question as to whether he was Thomas' son or brother); Barbara born 1804 married Samuel John BEST and had 10 children; William born 1807 who married Mary DAVIDSON and had 12 children; Robert born 1811 married twice, 1st Amelia Anne DAVIDSON, 2nd Margaret HENDERSON and had about 11 children; Elizabeth born abt 1814 who does not seem to have married, and Abraham who married Maria HENDERSON and had 4 children. William and Robert moved to Mariposa Township and lived at Oakwood. None of their children are named Charles, but one has Charles as a middle name. Abraham had 3 daughters and one son who died young. His eldest was named Emaline, but she married Henry EWING and died 1895. The surname POGUE is connected, but through a great-granddaughter of the Barbara Webster listed above. Lorne POGUE married Jean GREIG (born 1904) and had 2 daughters: Shirley and Marie. One of them moved to New Zealand.
