Hi Group. I'm looking for info on two TATE families that were unrelated. Thomas Clark TATE b. June 8, 1801 Ormesby, Yorkshire, England m. Elizabeth (?) b.March 1807, England. They came to South Monaghan Twp, Ontario after 1826 when they emigrated to Canada. Elizabeth died August 20, 1861 and is buried in Dawson cemetery, South Monaghan. Thomas remarried a lady by the first name of Ann. Would like to know where Thomas Clark TATE and Ann are buried, date of death, and Ann's last name. Also would like to know Elizabeth's maiden name. Thomas C. and Elizabeth TATE's oldest child, Mary Ann TATE b. abt. 1826 in Canada, married James TATE who lived in Caven Twp. James came from Ireland about 1832. m. March 1843. They went on to live in North Harvey Twp (Tate Bay on Pigeon Lake). I'm looking for information on James TATE from Caven Twp. Parents were William and Martha TATE. I don't know if they also came to Canada and settled in Caven Twp or if James had brothers and sisters. Other children from the family have been located in Cobourg, Lindsay, Bobcaygeon, to name a few. I have also found a grave marker for one of the descendents were the name was spelled TAIT. Any information or instructions on where to look is appreciated. David
