Recently while digging through a collection of old books I found an 11 page typescript entitled "History of Village of Hampton" by Mary J. E. Katerson, prepared for the Woman's Institute, 1945. I have little interest in Hampton myself but knowing how fragile local history is and how easily it can be lost, I do not want this information to be destroyed. I had hoped to return the manuscript to the family of the author, but there are no Katersons listed in the local phone directory. Can anyone offer a suggestion or does anyone want to take over responsibility for this rather tatty old typescript? Eric Bowler, Toronto
