I am researching William STRIKE who was a tailor, and lived in Hope, Cavan and Manvers townships. He was born about 1828 in England, and was probably the William Strike age 15, an apprentice tailor, found in the 1841 cenus in Boyton, Cornwall. Whether he is connected to my STRIKEs I do not know. Mine originated in Linkinhorne, Cornwall, but like many Cornish spread to other parts of Devon and Cornwall, as well as the rest of the U.K., Australia, New Zealand and North America. By 1851 William was in Hope township with a wife and 1 child. I would like to find his marriage. I know from the birth registration of their youngest child that William's wife was Anna Maria Hagerman. I would also like to contact any descendents. The children of William and Annie were: Charles born about 1850, still at home in 1901 census Cecelia born about 1851, still at home in 1881 census Emily m. born about 1853, still at home in 1901 census William Sidney (sometimes Sidney William) born about 1855, may have married 1890 in Port Hope Anna or Annie Maria born about 1857, married Robert STAPLES 1878 in Bexley Elizabeth born about 1859, still at home in the 1901 census Alfred James Harvey born abt 1860, married Ella May ELFORD 1894 Darlington, died 1924 in Perth, was a baptist minister Ellen Maude born about 1863, married Edward S. McKENNY 1887 at Chaffey Lilian Margery born about 1865, married Joseph HUNTER 1892 Cavan Frederick H. born 13 Sep 1870 Manvers Twp, married 1891 at Hastings to Hattie E. Elphiett. This was the only STRIKE family living in Ontario at the time of the 1871 census. Can anyone help me find the marriage of William and Anna Maria about 1849-1850? TIA Marilyn Delta, British Columbia
