    3. There have been a number of people on this list looking for Bible Christian relatives. Durham county had a large settlement of Bible Christian followers having emigrated from Devon and Cornwall in the mid 1800s. One of the most common Bible Christian chapels was in Shebbear, Devon. In order to see if a member of your family was christened in Shebbear, the batch number is C051601. Batch numbers for England can be found at: {HYPERLINK "http://geocities.com/Heartland/Trail/8333/iginum.html"}http://geocities.com/Heartland/Trail/8333/iginum.html Next, go into the FamilySearch site and then to IGI. All you have to insert is the region "British Isles" and the batch number C051601. This will bring up ALL of the christenings which took place in Shebbear, Devon. These are listed in alphabetical order and when I tried I saw 1800 records and that only got me up to HOCKIN. It will show up to 5000 records with 200 on each page. Have a try and see what you can find! You can do this for all the parishes that are in the IGI, by looking up the batch numbers at the above site.
