All a bit "hit & Miss" but not too hard if you are looking at Transcripts but hard work if you are looking at microfiches!!! We tended to work south from Northallerton (hence Whixley where the first child of Thomas and Esther (Jackman) was born). It would be nice to work out a more reliable or certain way of tracing Thomas's and your Michael's ancestors. There is a batch of OLIVERS at Leathley/Lindley near Pool in Wharfedale but we have not been able to connect "our" Thomas Oliver with them although Thomas was a corn miller as were the families at Leathley We will let you know if we come up with anything, regards Cynthia & John Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
