    1. Re: [OLIVER] Scottish Olivers Fraser/Oliphant
    2. Thank you very much.? Our Olivers aren't in those states, but, you never know. Ours were mainly in New York, Ohio, and Michigan, though Alpheus Oliver bought property all over the place!! Hugh Oliver and his wife, Margaret, you can contact Margaret at [email protected]_ (mailto:[email protected]) . Her address is 914 Crestwyck Lane, Greenville, SC 29615. It is a very interesting book which includes census, deeds, etc. of Olivers in S. C., Georgia, Alabama, etc. Mrs. Oliver has printed a 3rd edition in 2006 due to many requests. The first edition was printed in 1987, second edition 1996. It is a hard back cover and believe it has about 500 pages. To me, it was worth the money and very informative. I just printed the info for reading. I have traced my Olivers from Edgefield Co., S. C, through Georgia before finally settling in Starke, Florida. I bought a copy of the book, "Sketches of the Olivers" by Col. Hugh Oliver and his wife Margaret. I use the book very often as a reference book. Col. Oliver was tracing his family roots at Cades Cove, Tenn. and accumulated a lot of Oliver information. Instead of throwing away the information that did not pertain to his line, he included it in his book. Just thought you would like to know.
