As with you I have as yet not traced Michael's parents or siblings so there remains the possibility that Michael and Thomas were either brothers or cousins although the locations would seem to make that a long shot. Michael had 3 sons Luke, George and Thomas. Luke my ggg g'father moved up to Teesside so it is possible if your Thomas is related that he moved South as the family dispersed. My father was Thomas Oliver and I have traced Thomas Olivers in every generation of the family which is what drew my attention to your original posting.
