He married Mary Dudley of Effingham, Georiga who was the daughter of Guildford Dudley who was born in Orangeburg, SC. Guildford's father was Edward Dudley who married Mary Treutlen, daughter of Georgia's first governor. Edward Dudley had a daughter Caroline who married Adam Amaker in Orangeburg and their grandson also married a Sistrunk. James William Oliver and the descendants of the Orangeburg Sistrunks are found together in the 1850 Hamilton County Florida Census. It is evident that my family has a Sistrunk connection and I would like to find an Oliver descendant of the Orangeburg Oliver family who would be willing, at my expense, to have a 25 marker YDNA test. Any descendant of John (1778 Orangeburg census) or Thomas or his brother Peter since I do not know for sure which of them are my ancestor, if at all.
