Silas Henry Oliver (possibly just known as Henry} was born in Lanlivery, Cornwall in 1887 to Matthew Oliver and Mary Ann Richards. He is my maternal great grandfather but never married my great grandmother. My Gran was born in 1911. He had several brothers and sisters. Beatrice, Maud and Lottie emigrated to either Canada or the USA at the turn of the century and Lottie married another cornishman, Horace Welsh. Henry ? served in the canadian forces in WW1 but I can find no records. My Gran always believed he was killed n the Somme but I don't think so. I think there could be relatives out there somewhere!!!
