I have a Sampson Oliver born in 1850 in Wabash Co IN. I can find nothing about him after the 1860 census. His parents were Benjamin and Sebthany Westlake Oliver from Dayton Ohio but settled in Wabash county IN. Benjamin was son of James Bracy Oliver and Mary Hardman. Some records have James coming from VA. Benjamin had another son Thomas. The way this family repeats names it just makes me wonder if this is an uncle. I am going to save the information just in case I ever find a connection. I am still working on James Bracy Olivers parents and where he was from.
