Hi, OLIVER. Surrey, Cambridgeshire and Norwich I have a quantity of photographs that came with an item we bought at auction and I am looking for a home for them. These are mostly of the 'snapshot' type, some perhaps from the 1920s but most are post-war and there are no names on the backs but I am sure they are connected with the surname Oliver. Reasoning: 1. One bundle is in an envelope postmarked 10 Dec 1975 sent to Mrs. E. Oliver, 22 Grange Mansions, London Road, Ewell, Surrey. 2. Another bundle is in a processing envelope with "Oliver. High Street Balsham" written on it. 3. An envelope containing about 25 negatives, dated 30 August 1972 showing hairstyles by John Oliver, Elm Hill, Norwich. There is also a negative showing his shopfront. It would be a real puzzle to work out who the people in the photos are unless you are familiar with the family members. Can anyone identify with this family? I have Oliver ancestry in Cornwall back around 1800 but can see no reason why these photos I accidentally acquired can have any connection to myself - and have enough trouble storing things that are definitely family mementoes! I would be delighted to post these on to someone to whom they might mean something. Regards, Susan
