Hi, The price varies per company and by the number of markers you want tested, and if it's Y or mitochondria. Sorenson is free if you have good genealogical data for all lines. They provide no feedback to you about results but they post them in their database and you could try to find matches yourself. FTDNA is where the Oliver Y DNA project is located. It costs from $100 upwards for Y, depending on how many markers you want tested. They provide considerable feedback about interpretation and matches. Other companies are in Europe and other places and I know less about what they offer but if one converts the cost to dollars from Euros, it's often more. Ancestry is the newest company offering it and it costs less there for Y testing, for their promotional offer at least. I have no knowledge of how much feedback the participant receives about their results or matches. Perhaps others can share their experiences with various company's testing?
